See A Truckload of Progress for NiHao, by David Cui During 2022 NTFB Peanut Butter Drive, a historic 349,881 lbs of peanut butter has been raised to help feed hungry children in North Texas. Among many NTFB's partner organizations, NiHao was recognized as the "Top Community Group" by raising $25,876 and donated 5,132 lbs of peanut butter during this epic run.

Xie Bing, along with Cassie Collins, the North Texas Food Bank director of volunteer operations, was featured on CW33 highlighting volunteer opportunities as part of Hunger Action Month. It is very encouraging to see TV stations proactively reach out to one of Nihao founders to learn about what we are doing, which means we have built up good momentum and generated positive impacts beyond the Chinese American community. Let’s keep doing what we have been doing and set up a strong, accountable Chinese American image while we help people in need.
From Fri, Aug 27, 2021 to Sat, Aug 28, 2021, Twelve DASH runners (team name Dashing 12) participated the racing in the epic 200 miles relay race of "Hood to coast (HTC)". This was the first time an Asian community in Texas formed a team to participate the world class race that joined by teams around the world. Partnering with the NiHao food bank initiative, Dashing 12/NiHao team showcased the Asian American perseverance and community-service spirit, promote the hunger awareness in USA and spread the NiHao initiative to the nation.
$1500 was raised during the relay for NiHao Foodbank initiative. Now, HTC stands for "Hunger to Conquer" and their team slogan is "outrun the hunger by 200 miles". Thanks to all of our Chinese Americans, student ambassadors, members and all NIHAO friends for making this possible!
