Hello! My name is Harris Xie. I am sixteen years old, and I am a junior at Greenhill School in Addison, TX. I decided to be a part of the Nihao initiative because I wanted to help people in my community. As the president of NiHao, I will organize interesting and creative events to raise money for our organization and attract new members to join our cause. In my free time, I like to play basketball and go golfing. I’m a high honor roll student and I also enjoy doing debate and reading.

Betty Liu is currently a 9th grader at The Hockaday School. She dances at HappyFeet Dance Company and is part of her school’s dance team. Other than the dance team, she is part of the Pre-Law society club and Model UN. Betty is the Student Relations Board Representative and is an active participant of the Asian Student Association. Outside of school, she enjoys playing the piano, volunteering, and hanging out with her friends.

Vivian Chen is a 11th grader at The Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD). She is eager to help the community through servantship and leadership. Vivian understands the importance of giving through the community, and that is one of the main reasons why she decided to volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank. As a studious and diligent student, Vivian participates in many clubs including the Medical Club and World Languages Club. Some of Vivian’s hobbies that she enjoys in her free time is drawing and reading.

I'm a Senior in high school in Plano, TX. As VP of Website I manage the website and collaborate with other social medias. When I'm not busy with NiHao, I like coding and learning math and physics.

Sherry Zhang is currently an 11th grader at Greenhill School. She has been a part of NiHao for around two years and currently works on the Marketing Board. She is a member of the Greenhill and USA debate team, chamber orchestra, and acts as the leader for her school's math tutoring program. She is excited for this year and looks forward to the change we can make in the Dallas community!

Hi! My name is Andrew Cai, and I'm a junior at Greenhill School in Addison, Texas. I joined NiHao as an ambassador two years ago and recently became the organization's VP of Membership and one of the nonprofit's Video Production Managers. As VP of membership and Video Production Manager, I plan to inform more people about the NiHao organization through membership campaigns, flyers, and videos.
I practice Kendo at the Plano Kendo Dojo in my free time, play piano, and watch/make films. I'm also a member of my school's swim team. |

Hi my name is Emma Wei and I am a freshman at Coppell High School. I am on the varsity swim team and I also swim for Lakeside Aquatic Club. In my free time I like to draw and edit videos. Being an ambassador at NiHao gives me the opportunity to connect with other Asian Americans with similar hobbies and goals. I also hope to make a difference in my community!

My name is Sam Gu, and I am NiHao’s social media/video production team manager. Volunteering has always been a great passion of mine, and I believe by creating content we can introduce NiHao and Nihao’s philosophies to a larger audience. Some of my other hobbies include badminton, debate, photography/cinematography and more. I also have a great passion for STEM, especially science and technology. I believe that with some of my professional skills, I can contribute to making NiHao a more recognized organization.

My name is Qiye and I am an 8th grader at GPCI. I enjoy playing basketball and skateboarding. I also love to play the drums, play video games, and watch TV. I joined NiHao, so I could give back to my community. I wanted to lend a helping hand to those in need and make sure everyone lives a decent life without have to worry about how they’re going to pay for dinner tonight.

Ava Mao is sixteen years old and a junior at Greenhill School. She first joined NiHao in 2021 and is serving as NiHao’s Membership Manager for the year of 2023-2024. Ava is very passionate about service work and has received the President’s Service award both Freshman and Sophomore year of high school. As of September, she has amounted nearly 400 service hours. Outside of volunteering and NiHao, Ava loves theatre, music, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and everything that involves art.

Ella Liu is a junior at Allen High School and has a passion of helping out people in her community and to those nearby. Outside of NiHao, Ella loves drawing and playing piano, where she is a certified level 8 player. She enjoys playing songs like Pirates of the Caribbean and Titanic. As the activities officer, Ella hopes to help out planning events as well as coming up with ideas on future events.

Kathy Xia is a sophomore at Jasper High School in Plano TX. Last year, she was the content creator for the Nihao social media team; this year, she is holding the activities manager position. Outside of school, her hobbies are art, violin, and piano. She also loves Taylor Swift! She is ready to support the community through the Peanut Butter Drive and she is looking forward to working with other officers in the upcoming year.
